Recovering all the water used in the home is crucial for accurately predicting the sewage strength entering a septic system. Neglecting to do this will lead to higher-strength sewage, which in turn, can result in a premature septic system failure if not taken into account during the design process.
While tanks and treatment units are paramount to the restoration of the water we use, the soil we disperse our wastewater into is just as critical to the restoration process. The soils remove all the pathogens present in the wastewater prior to being reintroduced into the environment.
The final pillar is the responsible return of the water we use to the environment from which we take it. It’s crucial we return the water back to the environment so that it can be reused by our children and their children’s children after them.
Canadian Septic Inc. was created by its current owner, James Stiksma in 2016 shortly before purchasing the assets from a Registered Onsite Wastewater Practitioner looking to move on from the business he’d started called Septic Expert. The business operated under the name Septic Expert until the company was purchased in 2016 at which point it became Canadian Septic.
When the Government of BC came out with the new regulations in 2005, Septic Expert was one of the first companies to be certified by ASTTBC to ensure compliance with the new Standard of Practice.
Since purchasing Septic Expert in 2016, James Stiksma has been able to enlist the help of his brother in-law Arien Brouwer, to deliver a top-of-the-line customer experience as well as work towards integrating current industry practices with present day technologies.
